Terms of Service


Effective Date: September 1st, 2024

The Orange Airsoft Club at Oregon State University ("OAC," "we," "us," or "our") operates this website and provides services related to club membership, events, and community spaces (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing our website, registering for an event, or participating in OAC activities, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use our Services.

OAC is a recognized student organization at Oregon State University ("OSU"). OAC is not OSU and operates independently, subject to OSU policies.


1. Eligibility & Accounts


  • By using the Services, you confirm that you are (a) at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or (b) a minor with parental/guardian consent.
  • You agree to provide accurate and current information for event registrations, waivers, or accounts.
  • If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials and all activity under your account.

2. Event Participation, Waivers & Risks


  • Participation in airsoft and related activities is voluntary and involves inherent risks (e.g., projectiles, physical exertion, slips/falls, travel).
  • You must follow all safety rules, venue rules, and OSU policies.
  • Certain events require signing a participation agreement and liability waiver. OAC may deny participation for failure to comply.
  • You are responsible for ensuring your equipment is in safe condition unless you rent through an approved program.

3. Registration, Fees & Refunds


  • Event admission may require advance registration and is subject to availability.
  • Some events or rentals may require fees. Prices are subject to change.
  • Unless otherwise stated on the event page:
    • Refunds are issued if OAC cancels an event in full.
    • Participant cancellations are refundable only under stated event-specific policies.

4. Conduct & Community Standards


  • You agree to treat others with respect and refrain from harassment, discrimination, or unsafe conduct.
  • You must comply with all OAC, venue, and OSU policies, as well as applicable laws.
  • In online spaces (e.g., Discord), moderators may remove content or restrict access for violations of these Terms or community rules.
  • Prohibited uses include: unlawful activity, intellectual property infringement, transmitting malware, scraping, or disrupting Services.

5. User Content & Intellectual Property


  • If you submit content (e.g., photos, suggestions), you grant OAC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use it for club purposes (e.g., promotions, event materials), subject to our Privacy Policy.
  • You represent that you own the rights to content you submit and that it does not infringe third-party rights.
  • OAC's names, logos, and content are protected by law. You may not copy or misuse them without permission.


  • Our Services may link to third-party platforms (e.g., ticketing, payments, Discord).
  • OAC does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.
  • Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to those providers' terms.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties


  • The Services are provided "as is" and "as available."
  • OAC makes no warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
  • We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

8. Limitation of Liability


  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, OAC, its officers, members, advisors, and volunteers are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data, or goodwill.
  • OAC's total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid (if any) for the event or service in the 3 months before the claim arose.
  • Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those cases, liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Indemnification


You agree to indemnify and hold harmless OAC, its officers, members, advisors, and volunteers from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of:

  • your participation in events,
  • your use of the Services,
  • your violation of these Terms, or
  • your infringement of third-party rights.

10. Suspension & Termination


OAC may suspend or terminate your access to Services or participation in events at any time for violations of these Terms, safety concerns, or as required by OSU policy or law.


11. Governing Law & Venue


These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon and applicable U.S. federal law. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Benton County, Oregon, unless OSU policy requires otherwise.


12. Changes to Terms


We may update these Terms periodically. The "Effective Date" above reflects the most recent version. Your continued use of the Services after updates constitutes acceptance.
